Founder & CEO
Justin Lowe is the founder of the Avenir Investment Group, a multi-family partnership with a focus on wealth management, asset managed and family advisory services.
Justin has been involved with alternative investments for over 20 years. He started investing in hedge funds in 1999 and later co-founded Reliance Management, a leading offshore fund of funds manager. In 2010, Reliance became Pan Reliance Capital Advisors. Pan Reliance was widely considered to have one of the longest track records in the space and has been nominated for numerous awards, including Sustained Excellence in Funds of Hedge Funds Management in 2014 and Fund of Hedge Funds Adviser of the year in 2013 and 2017. In February 2019, Pan Reliance Capital Advisors, was merged with Highmore Group Advisors, a $1.7 billion asset management firm at the time. Following the successful integration of the Pan Reliance funds, Justin resigned from the firm to focus on managing the Avenir Investment Group.
Prior to Reliance, Justin worked at Broadview International, Ltd, a private equity and Investment Banking Firm focus on the IT industry, where he focused on the structuring and execution of M&A investment banking, private equity and private placement transactions in the IT industry. Justin started his career as a consultant for Bain & Company where he served in the Geneva, Paris, London and Munich offices.
Justin has served on multiple asset management boards. From 2016 to 2018 he was a Director of Samarang Asset Management SA, a Luxembourg UCITS management company. From 2017-2019 Justin also served on the Board of Octogone North America, part of the Octogone Group, a private client advisory group with $4 billion of assets based in Geneva Switzerland.
He currently serves as CIO of Benjamin Parker Wine, a private equity vehicle investing in the Wine sector. He is also a Board Member of the Surfrider Foundation, Miami Chapter, a non-profit focused on clean oceans.
Justin received an MBA from Columbia University School of Business and a B. Sc. in Economics from the London School of Economics.
He was raised in Japan, the United States, Portugal, France and Switzerland. In addition to English, he speaks fluent French, Spanish and German. He is the great grandson of Robert Hallowell Gardiner IV, the founder of the Fiduciary Trust Company in Boston in 1928, a trust bank created as a successor to his Family Office. He is also the great great grandson of Adrien Lachenal, elected President of the Swiss Confederation in 1896.
